Laboratorio Suelo-Agua-Planta. U Chile
El laboratorio de SAP tiene dos grandes líneas de investigación: * El estudio de los mecanismos fisiológicos de resistencia a sequía de las plantas , con especial énfasis en plantas cultivadas, y la identificación de genotipos resistentes. * El estudio de prácticas agronómicas que maximicen la disponibilidad hídrica de los cultivos en las principales rotaciones del país y que otorguen mayor Sustentabilidad a los sistemas agrícolas. Se incluyen la cero labranza y el manejo de los rastrojos en cultivos anuales buscando restituir el contenido de materia orgánica de los suelos agrícolas con el fin de mejorar sus propiedades físicas, químicas y biológicas. Los tópicos de interés en esta linea de investigación son la descomposición de residuos, fertilidad de suelos, alelopatía, secuestro de carbono en el suelo, balances hídricos, materia orgánica y manejo de cultivos.
